All clips from the documentary Ezra Pound : Voices and Vision.

All read by the poet.

Excerpt from “Sestina: Altaforte”

Excerpt from Ezra Pound’s “Homage to Sextus Propertius,” section VI

Excerpt from “Hugh Selwyn Mauberley,” section IV

Excerpt from “Cantos,” section I

Excerpt from “Cantos,” section LXXXI

The only thing I can say is that I was left speechless. It was the first time I heard Pound reading. It was an apocalypse.

Extra:

Another assemblage clips from the same documentary.

Photo-montage of images related to the Ezra Pound, with solo violin music (Frottola 1931) composed by the poet himself. The composition is Pound’s attempt to set the speech rhythms of a poem by Guido Cavalcanti to music.

Rare [?] film document featuring Pier Paolo Pasolini reading Ezra Pound, Pound being present
