Polish Animation (Piotr Dumala)
Piotr Dumala, acclaimed Polish animator whose beautiful plaster-engraved works are steeped in the worlds of Kafka, Dostoevsky and existentialism. In Dumala’s shadowy world we find darkness, emptiness, and loneliness; alienated individuals fragmented from the world at large, unable to articulate the range of emotions that quiver uncomfortably within them.
